Curry’s leadership has been very beneficial to the Warriors.
Due to his injury issues and trade rumors, Golden State almost went in a different way a few of times. The company, on the other hand, persevered with the Davidson product, who has gone on to become probably the best shooter in NBA history.

“I’d be glad to speak with you as soon as you speak with the Clippers (Blake Griffin), Memphis (Hasheem Thabeet), Sacramento (Tyreke Evans), and particularly Washington, who gave me the No. 5 pick straight up in exchange for Randy Foye and Mike Miller and could have picked Curry fifth,” Kahn stated.
Curry was regarded as one of the greatest players in his draft class after a storied college career at Davidson, but not at the top. Blake Griffin had that illustrious moniker, while Hasheem Thabeet of UConn has the attraction of star potential. James Harden and Tyreke Evans seemed to be NBA lottery picks.
Kahn makes a good argument that the teams ahead of the Timberwolves should be scrutinized as well, but the fact that they passed on Curry twice is difficult to overlook.
