The Walking Dead has become a hit television show, with its latest season premiering on October 22nd. With the new season comes some changes to the cast of characters, including Negan and Maggie. Many fans have noticed “romantic tension” between the two characters on screen, which is causing them to speculate about what might happen in future seasons.
The Walking Dead has been a popular show on AMC since 2010. The latest season of the show has introduced an interesting new character, Negan. He is a charismatic and dangerous man that is in charge of the Saviors. Maggie was just rescued by the group and she feels some romantic tension with him.
On The Walking Dead, things become violent and emotions rise between enemies-turned-allies Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), but is there romantic tension as well? Season 11 Episode 5, “Out of the Ashes,” contains spoilers. Negan and Maggie reach it to the Arbor Hills station where Hilltop benefactor Georgie (Jayne Atkinson) stored supplies after being pursued by the Reapers on the Meridian expedition to rescue Alexandria, their home left in ashes following The Whisperer War. Maggie has Negan wait for Daryl (Norman Reedus) and the others dispersed after the Reaper assault on the road before returning the food to their hungry group.
Negan waits till sunset before leaving with a bundle of merchandise to return to Alexandria. “Not with those materials,” Maggie replies, interrupting him. “This mission hasn’t been completed yet.” “It is for me,” Negan declares.
Maggie pulls the sack from Negan’s grip and pushes him away. He grabs Maggie’s arms and screams at her to “stop it,” but she pulls back and throws Negan off. Hard. They lock gazes, Maggie strikes him again, and the standoff ends when Elijah (Okea Eme-Akwari) and Father Gabriel arrive (Seth Gilliam).
Can we discuss about the odd moment between Negan and Maggie that seemed like sexual tension? Was it done on purpose? I’m sure I’m not the only one who noticed it! 😬 @AMCTalkingDead @AMCTalkingDead #TheWalkingDead #TWD pic.twitter.com/3LG9nZ0etV @AMCTalkingDead @AMCTalkingDead #TheWalkingDead #TWD pic.twitter.com/3LG9nZ0etV

To finish “Acheron: Part 1,” Negan abandons Maggie in a walker-infested metro tunnel, but in “Acheron: Part 2,” the two must trust and work together to escape a zombie-infested train vehicle. In “Hunted,” Negan rescues Maggie from Reapers, despite his concerns that she was taking him on a death march to murder him and revenge Glenn (Steven Yeun), her husband and the father of her son Hershel (Kien Michael Spiller).
“Maggie and Negan are the only two people left in this gang. So they’re in this awkward situation where none of them trusts the other, and neither of them really loves the other “On The Walking Dead: Episode Insider, showrunner Angela Kang explains why. “Negan, on the other hand, I believe has this level of admiration for Maggie. He doesn’t have faith in her, but he admires the kind of leader she is. Maggie, on the other hand, reluctantly acknowledges that she needs him, but their relationship is usually tense.”
Maggie is told by Negan to “cut your losses,” but those losses are her people: Cole and his family (James Devoti). Duncan is a man of many talents (Marcus Lewis). Agatha’s name is Agatha (Laurie Fortier). They were all murdered on their way to Meridian, which Negan had warned was a suicide expedition.
“They can’t even determine whether or not to remain in this home,” Kang said. “It turns out the way Maggie wants it to, but it doesn’t mean Negan is correct in everything he says to her.”
Maggie still despises Negan and wants him dead, despite their brief ceasefire, says the Negan actor. Morgan stated on Talking Dead, “Unfortunately for her, the only way she’s going to survive certain circumstances is if she allows Negan into the fold.” “That’s all there is to it. It is, in a sense, what it is. She despises him, yet she needs him.”
